Challenges

What you would like to change.

CHALLENGES · Management culture

Bringing a shared management culture to life

You want greater ownership, commitment and consistency across your organisation.

I help you turn your vision of management into practical tools and ways of working, from design through to implementation.

How, in concrete terms, will you know that this change has succeeded in your organisation?

Provide guidance rather than prescribe everything

Starting from your situation, we clarify who decides what, with which resources and responsibilities.

I help develop management frameworks, guides and tools that put these practices into action. Their purpose is practical: to help people make decisions, delegate, lead conversations and help others develop.

I favour guidance that strengthens judgement and encourages people to take responsibility, rather than rules that prescribe every behaviour – without compromising on safety requirements.

Putting ideas into practice and learning from experience

Depending on your needs, I combine consulting, workshops, training and individual coaching. We prepare for implementation, with a pilot phase where appropriate, then adjust practices based on feedback from everyday work.

Action plans, peer-to-peer conversations and shared learning from experience help carry the approach into day-to-day practice.

I also help you lay the foundations for a learning organisation: drawing lessons from successes and difficulties, experimenting with improvements and sharing what has been learned beyond individual people or teams.

Two real-life examples

Shared management principles in a growing construction company

The approach brought together a shared management framework, tools for use in offices, workshops and on construction sites, training for managers, and action plans followed up over time.

An employee development programme in a bank

Preparing training for employee development conversations revealed that some aspects of the programme needed clarification. The assignment combined design workshops, a pilot roll-out, adjustments based on feedback from practice, followed by training and simulated conversations.

CHALLENGES · Team leadership

Developing your approach to leading a team

Leading a team means achieving results through people, each with their own skills, expectations and way of working.

I help you develop management practices that strengthen each person's reliability.

I would even encourage you to go further and aim for management excellence: reliable people who become fully committed – anticipating what is needed, stretching themselves and taking initiative.

Real situations, appropriate responses

Delegating with the right balance between control and trust. Clarifying responsibilities and expectations. Giving constructive feedback. Making a difficult decision. Handling disagreement. Motivating each person with their individual circumstances in mind.

Starting from your own situations, I offer tools you can apply directly to sharpen your judgement, question your habits, replace some with more effective practices and broaden your range of ways to act.

Developing commitment and interdependence

We explore how to clarify the framework, adapt delegation and give each person the means to take responsibility – using no more authority than needed.

The ambition goes beyond being able to act independently. I help you develop interdependence by choice: bringing skills together, challenging one another's viewpoints and seeking better answers together.

One conviction that anyone can make their own sums up this approach:

“I have confidence in my abilities. With others, I can go further.”

Learning from your own experience

I provide training, individual coaching or workshops bringing several managers together.

Situations people have experienced provide the starting point for practice scenarios, discussions and experimentation in everyday work. We examine the effects of new practices and adjust them accordingly.

The coaching or training may be a one-off intervention or part of a broader management development initiative.

CHALLENGES · Workplace communication

Better conversations. More effective action together.

Getting an idea across, addressing a disagreement, conducting a professional conversation or developing a professional relationship: words matter, as does the way we engage with one another.

I help you ask questions to deepen understanding, persuade and influence others, and make feedback a contribution to progress.

Asking questions to understand

Clarifying a request. Understanding what matters to the other person. Distinguishing facts, interpretations and expectations.

I offer questioning techniques that help you explore a situation in depth rather than stop at its first description. Curiosity guides this approach: understanding another person's point of view does not necessarily mean agreeing with it.

Persuading, influencing and welcoming disagreement

You want to get a proposal heard, secure a decision or address a disagreement without damaging the relationship.

Starting from your situations, we explore how to adapt your message, explain the reasoning behind your position and respond to objections. You experiment with different ways of expressing your ideas and guiding the conversation.

Openness works both ways: helping another person rethink a position while allowing your own thinking to develop.

Giving, asking for and receiving feedback

I help you give specific feedback, express what is worth continuing or changing, and consider feedback you receive as something to reflect on rather than a judgement of you as a person.

I offer techniques and practical tips for describing facts, distinguishing them from your own opinions and expressing how a situation affects you without judging the other person.

These practices aim to strengthen psychological safety: being able to express an opinion, ask for feedback or acknowledge a difficulty without fear of being belittled. This climate helps sustain commitment.

We also explore ways to make feedback a shared practice across the whole team: giving it, asking for it and receiving it, regardless of hierarchy.

Trying new approaches in your own conversations

I provide training, individual coaching or team workshops.

Examples, role-plays and realistic scenarios let you try different ways of asking questions, expressing ideas and responding. We start from your situations to prepare for practical use in your everyday work.
